Wedding Stuff and More Wedding Stuff

So the saga continues and we continue to firm up the details of the big day. Yesterday we took Katie's beautiful dress to her aunt's house to take care of some small alterations. We are sure thankful to her for taking the time to do that for us, and know that it saved us a fair amount of money.

We had a great time last weekend registering at some of the local hot spots. We chose to register at Bed Bath and Beyond, Pottery Barn, and Target. We actually had a great time planning and picking out items for out new house. I will have the links to Pottery Barn and Target up some time later.

After learning more about each of the companies and the registration policies and rules we have found that Bed Bath and Beyond is by far the best place to work with. They have the best return and exchange policy and really strife to work with the Bride and Groom to make sure that everything works out well. Target on the other hand can be considered the Nazi of returns/exchanges and makes life very difficult. While we were in Target we ran into a newlywed couple who had received three or four griddles. They were very grateful for the gifts and the sacrifice to those who gave them, however without a gift receipt Target would not allow for a return or even an exchange. So the couple took home the griddles and prepared to help cook at the next scout camp or ward pancake breakfast.

The moral of the story that we learned from our trip to Target was: When buying a gift for others it might be a good idea to include a gift receipt or the receiving end may end up with one to many griddles or toasters.

As we prepare for the wedding we are very grateful to all those who are helping out with the plans and are preparing to celebrate out big day. We would like to thank all those in advanced who will be traveling or sacrificing to share this day with us. We love you all and are grateful to each of you.

That poor couple with FOUR griddles. That stinks! So, that would explain why Katie and you signed up for boxes of TIDE and shampoo at TARGET?!
