First Attempts

Alright I guess that it is time that we (really just I) join the world of bloggers. I got this brilliant idea this morning as I was searching the web and ran into an old friend's blog, that it was a great time to start especially with the wedding around the corner. As I got going tonight I knew that I would like to use get my own domain name and find a company to host for me. So I spent a good hour tonight registering a domain name which was not a big hit, it was only $9.95 for the first year. The next step was to find a hosting company. I have worked with BlueHost when I worked for InsideSales.com and figured that they would work. I filled out all the forms and justified the $7.95/month telling myself "that it was a good way to keep in touch with people." When I got to the last page and was about to seal the deal I noticed that I was about to be billed just under $100 bucks for 12 months of hosting. There was no way I could justify it on my new "post engagement budget." If you want to know more about what this includes ask Katie she can tell you all about it. So after all the excitement and anticipation for the new hosted blog I reverted to the less exciting yet economical choice of blogspot.
